What You Can Get Out of an iPod Touch

Posted by Zach On October - 18 - 2009ADD COMMENTS

An iPhone Without the Phone

Apple’s iPod Touch combines daily tasks together in one; right in your pocket. This could save you from buying Internet, a CD/DVD player, photo albums, a map, a calendar, a clock, sticky notes, a calculator, books, games, and possibly even a TV. That’s because the iPod touch has features and apps for all of that. And the best part is that you can take it with you. Cause I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t have wanted to take all that with you. You want to access those features as easily as possible.

First, is the amazing feature called the Internet. Apple’s Safari broswer is right there on your iPod. Of course you have to have a wireless connection to access the Internet, but if you can get one, you’re set to go. And once you have Internet, you can also access iTunes and YouTube as well.

You can also store photos on this thing. If you find a nice photo you can save it right to the photo library. Say someone sent you a photo in your email and you wanted to keep it. All you’d have to do is save it right on, and you can view it later. Nice little feature there.

And then there’s Stocks. You can view stock performance information right on the Touch. And you can also check the weather – that’s important.

And the important Maps feature. This thing comes loaded with directions. Handy to have if you don’t want to get lost.

Say you want to know what day and what time it is. That’s simple. The Touch has a calendar and clock. With the calendar, you can keep track of events and holidays. With the clock, you’ll be able to know what time it is. Not a bad feature to have.

Notes are good for reminders. No pen and paper required.

And the calculator can really come in handy if you need to calculate something.

In the mood to read something? The iPod Touch enables you to read books from the Amazon Kindle. That is something – no Kindle required.

Then to wrap things up is the amazing apps. You can download apps for games, or anything. Remember… there’s an app for that.

Oh, but wait… there’s more! The Touch also lets you store music and videos just like a regular iPod! Listen to your favorite songs and watch your favorite videos over and over again!

There’s no reason why you wouldn’t want an iPod Touch, in less you would rather have a phone — iPhone.

To order one of these right now, click on one of the links below. Choose your model and capacity size, then BUY! In addition to that, get FREE shipping!

Every episode of Disney’s hit animated series, “Phineas and Ferb”, has a song in it. And there is a wide variety of genres used throughout the series.

In fact, many episodes focus around music: “Flop Starz”, “Dude, We’re Getting the Band Back Together”, “Ready for the Bettys”, “The Baljeatles”, and special “Phineas and Ferb’s Musical Cliptastic Countdown”. Many of the characters have musical numbers from the show.

A soundtrack of the series was released on September 22, 2009, self-titled “Phineas and Ferb”. It features 26 songs, all used at somepoint during the show. And there is also going to be a special episode of “Phineas and Ferb” tonight at 8PM EST on Disney XD, and Friday night at 9PM EST on Disney Channel. The special, called “Phineas and Ferb’s Musical Cliptastic Countdown”, features the top ten Phineas and Ferb songs that were voted on by viewers.

Blake Lewis Heartbreak on Vinyl Review

Posted by Zach On October - 9 - 2009ADD COMMENTS

Blake Lewis, season six runner-up of the hit reality series American Idol, just released his sophomore album Tuesday; known as “Heartbreak on Vinyl”.

Heartbreak on Vinyl is different from Blake’s first album, Audio Day Dream (A.D.D.), because this one was more personal than his previous record. And Lewis had more freedom with Tommy Boy Records than he had with Arista Records. Many of the songs were wrote from his experience from a broken relationship. This album was more of a heartbreak album compared to his dance album.

I recieved the album yesterday and listened to it. And I thought it was one of the best albums of 2009. All 13 songs off the album were fantastic, including the title track “Heartbreak on Vinyl”. Every song is distinct with catchy lyrics and beats. And I kept playing different songs from it.

Want to get a taste of Heartbreak on Vinyl for yourself? Buy it from iTunes and Amazon. You will not, without a doubt, regret it.

The Thriller’s Music Lives On

Posted by Zach On June - 30 - 2009ADD COMMENTS

Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana. Jackson starts performing in 1964 with The Jackson 5. In 1967, The Jackson 5 recorded songs for the record label Steeltown. One year later they would sign with Motown Records. They set the charts with “I Want You Back,” “ABC,” “The Love You Save,” and “I’ll Be There”.

Beginning with 1972, Jackson released four solo studio albums with Motown. A year later, The Jackson 5 soon declined and then decided to leave Motown in 1975. The Jackson 5 then signed a contract with CBS Records that June, joining Epic Records. Due to legal reasons, The Jackson 5 was renamed to The Jacksons. Michael starred in The Wiz, playing the Scarecrow. Soon afterwards, Jackson partnered up with Quincy Jones to produce Jackson’s solo album Off the Wall. It was released in 1979 and produced two number ones, “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” and “Rock with You”.

In 1982, Jackson would release Thriller. It would feature three number ones, “Billie Jean”, “Beat It”, and “Wanna Be Startin’ Something”. It became the best-selling album of all time. The music video for the song “Thriller” would become a big hit. “Michael Jackson’s Thriller” is an approximately 15 minute mini-film music video. MTV would show the music video twice an hour. It was a sure hit. It was even named the best music video ever. The popularity of the video sent the album back to number one on the charts. Then on March 25, 1983, Michael Jackson debuted his signature dance move during a Motown 25 special, during a performance of “Billie Jean”. In 1984, Jackson’s hair caught fire during filiming of a Pepsi Cola commercial, stirring up more news. That same year, President Ronald Reagan presented Jackson an award at the White House. Jackson co-wrote “We Are the World” with Lionie Richie for charity, with him and 39 other artists pitching in to record on the record. Later on, Jackson bought The Beatles’ catalog for $47.5 million.

A lot of controversies were soon to follow. From his face surgeries to his pet chimp Bubbles, the press started having more and more to talk about. He gained the nickname “Wacko Jacko.” Not really a good nickname to be proud of. In 1987, Jackson would release another album, Bad. Five singles hit number one. Including “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You”, “Bad”, “The Way You Make Me Feel”, “Man in the Mirror”, and “Dirty Diana”. He became known as the “King of Pop.”

In 1991, Jackson would release another album called Dangerous. “Black or White”, the first single from the album, hit number one on the charts. The album didn’t hold up to Thriller or Bad, but did include a few good tracks.

A lot more controversies were heating up, including his marriage to Lisa Marie Presley, that ended nearly two years later.

HIStory was released in 1995 and debuted at number one. Invincible, his final album, was released in 2001. It only had three singles. Showing that Jackson’s career had declined over the years.

On June 25th, 2009, Michael Jackson died at the age of 50. He was planning a big 50 concert tour to set a comeback. His death lead to excessive news coverage, major amounts of internet traffic, and his albums soaring once again. His wish of a comeback came true, but sadly he didn’t get to see it.

What is to happen next? Who will be the guardian of his children? How will his memorial turn out? Guess we’ll have to wait to see.
